Forty-seventh Poem
Dear Lady of the Light,
Virgin protector of vocations,
awaken in us the unchangeable joy
of serving God,
awaken in us the unbreakable faith
that you lived for the Plan of the Creator.
Lady of Hope,
awaken in us the permanent conviction
of our accomplishing the Will of God,
awaken in us the inner renewal
to untiringly serve Your beloved Son.
Lady of the Light and of unconditional Love,
awaken in us ever-deeper acts of Love and Mercy,
so that we may also be
worthy of Peace.
Lady of the Light and of Trust,
teach us the same trust that You lived with humility
so that we may feel, beyond all things,
that God is, in each moment,
participating in the lives of His children.
Lady of the Light and of Obedience,
help us to strip away and detach from
everything we consider to be ours.
In surrender, may we open ourselves
to learn and obey, without complaining,
simply following the steps
that Your Son indicates.
Mother, banish our own will from our consciousness
so that we may live in peace.
Amen.
