Eleventh poem of a soul to the Sacred and Blessed Heart of Jesus
Lift me, Lord, from the ground
even if I fall into temptation,
just as you lifted Mary Magdalene
from the ground of perdition.
Free me, Lord,
from the sieges and the conflicts.
Temper my heart
so that I may receive from You
the strength that I now look for
and that I need.
Help me, my Beloved,
to find the inner paradise.
Help me in the difficult and hard hours
to just look at the horizon,
so that for an instant
I feel within me
Your second Return.
That I may feel,
Dear Jesus,
that all effort for You
is worth while,
that despite the storms,
internal and external,
You are always present,
imposing on me
Your Sacred Hands
of blessing and of healing.
And under the Divine Breath of the Holy Spirit,
dear Jesus,
may I have clarity and discernment
in the decisions of life.
May I never tire of seeking
the consecration to Your Divine Heart.
That in every moment
Your Trust and Your Love invade me
so that I may learn like You,
Beloved Lord,
to lift myself from the ground
and to continue, with patience,
carrying with my own cross
until reaching the sacred victory
that will give me Your Redemption.
