Third Series of Poems
Tenth poem of a soul to the Sacred and Blessed Heart of Jesus
Beloved Jesus,
make me brave at each moment.
May the trials work for
purifying my consciousness.
May the challenges You send me
help in the transcendence of my being.
May each transition in life
be the passage towards a new
state of consciousness.
Help me, Lord,
to be persevering,
humble and dedicated.
That I may be able to feel, in my heart,
the Ray of Your Mercy
and the Divine and Supreme Grace
acting and working in all of my being,
for in this way, Your Divine Light will triumph
over the inner darkness
of these times.
Lord Jesus,
strengthen me, day after day,
in the union with You,
make me little and similar to You,
so that I may perfectly imitate You
at each step.
Empty me, Lord, at every moment.
Bring joy to my soul
while I am able to be in Your Glorious Presence.
And I ask you, Lord,
to relieve the weight of the cross,
so that, with Your merciful assistance,
I may surrender completely
at the Feet of the Heavenly Father.
