Fourth poem of a soul to the Sacred and Blessed Heart of Jesus
Lord,
may my soul be able
to achieve transparency
in consecration.
That I do not tire
of taking the steps towards You, my Lord,
so that I may begin to abandon
everything that once and again
separates me from You.
Make me, Lord,
divested of myself.
May Your Feeling of Love
and Mercy for the neighbor
be my feeling of love
and mercy for the others.
Free me from the heavy chains
that make me regress
and do not allow me to move forward.
Liberate my heart, Lord,
of all evil, betrayal, and disdain.
May I learn to sustain myself in You,
so that I may be able to represent You
on the surface of the Earth.
Dear Jesus,
make me see everything beyond,
as it truly is.
Make me understand my fellow being,
just as You understood and accepted
the ones who rejected You, made You a martyr, and humiliated You
at the foot of the Cross.
Help me, Lord,
to live unconditional
and Christic Love.
Help me to move beyond the layers of appearances
and that I be able to see You
in each human heart.
Amen.
